March 21, 2009 - Steps for Success 

This event was a joint effort between Wake County Public Schools, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, and Walmart.  More than 500 students and parents attended the event to learn about college preparation and resources, as well as scholarship opportunities.  Students were also able to interact with local agencies about different careers, including science.

March 27, 2009 - N.C. Society of Hispanic Professionals’ Educational Summit

This annual event attracts more than 1,000 Latino students from around the state.  Students engage in workshops and also can learn about different community resources at an information fair.  Several CLC members participated: NC Museum of Natural Sciences, El Pueblo, Wake AHEC, and NC Health Check/Health Choice.
